Carl Taylor is a visual artist from Derry, N. Ireland, working mainly with paint in his studio in Bishop Street, Derry.

Most of my latest work is drawn from memory and imagination, which consciously moves away from my previous reliance on reference materials for a more dynamic outcome.  My approach is playful and experimental, working very small to large scale, applying mediums and chemicals to Acrylic paints ‘seeing what happens’ and dabbling in unusual materials like bitumen. In 2015 I presented his first solo show which was huge success and a second solo show is in the pipeline for next year.
